Mike Fernandez (born in Lima, Peru).
I’m a photographer and filmmaker, my work is a way of building community, a communication device. I’m committed to addressing the diversity gap – principally, a lack of people of color and young people in the environmental field and conservation movement.
I am currently the video producer for the National Audubon Society.
My work has been featured in New York Magazine, the New York Times, Aperture Gallery, David Yurman, Brooklyn Film Festival, Oslo Fusion Festival, HERE Arts Center, Outside Magazine, Univision, De Standaard (Belgium), FronteraD (Spain), Audubon Magazine, among others.
